Soundarya Rajinikanth has had a tough time, ever since she was threatened with an arrest by a money lender or financier. She had on default so many crores of rupees borrowed for the making of the dropped animated film “Sultan, the Warrior.”
Rajinikanth had solved the issue by intervening personally and discussing alternatives with the financier. Soon the announcement of Raana was made with KS Ravikumar as the director and Eros International as the producer.
After Rajinikanth fell ill, a leading daily had reported that Raana would be dropped. This irked Soundarya Rajinikanth who immediately called the daily newspaper and reprimanded them. She said that she would file a defamation case against the newspaper.
Rana is said to be the film that is made for Rajinikanth to clear the debts incurred for “Sultan”. Reportedly, KS Ravikumar is roped in to ensure commercial success after Soundarya’s failure to direct “Sultan, The Warrior.”
While Eros has come forward to produce and while Soundarya Rajinikanth has incurred serious amounts of debt on her Ocher Studios, the Superstar’s daughter erupted in a burst of anger at the leading daily, although all these were considered mere speculations by the media!
