Shahrukh Khan named worst actor

Like the many popular awards that honour the best talents and films every year, Golden Kela Awards, the Indian spin-off of the Razzies, anoints the best of the worst. This year, Shahrukh Khan has been named the worst actor for his performance in My Name Is Khan, which also won the uncoveted Worst Film Award.

The fans of the superstar may not approve of it, but the third Golden Kela Awards, hosted by Cyrus Broacha in Gurgaon on Saturday, named Shahrukh and Sonam Kapoor as the worst actors (male and female). Sonam was named for her performance in the home production Aisha.

The worst film award went to Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan and the worst director trophy was reserved for Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his Guzaarish.
