Manzano tries to calm Sevilla down

The Andalucians lost 1-0 to Villarreal in the Spanish La Liga, and it marked their fourth defeat in a row in all competitions, and their third straight loss in the domestic league.

Manzano is aware that the pressure is on, but has pleaded with fans to stick with the team through their troubled times.

“Today our team sought victory and we have to start scoring points in the upcoming games,” Manzano said, according to Eldesmarque.es.

“People must be told that we are putting all our efforts and dedication to get out of this trouble.

“The players need the fans to be with them. On Saturday against Almeria we have to return to winning ways.”

Time may not be on Manzano’s side though, as Sevilla’s management has a reputation for being trigger-happy with their managers, having sacked his predecessor Antonio Alvarez.
