Now, if this true, it is just sensational.
Some reports in Kerala suggest that Ilayathalapathy Vijay could be part of director Aashiq Abu’s Gangster, in which Mammootty plays the hero. Gangster will have Mammootty as a Kasaragode based don.
Vijay has been pencilled in to be part of a song in the film, but the news has no confirmation as yet. The actor has a huge fan following in Kerala and there were amazing numbers to welcome the Tamil superstar, whenever he came to the state. His films also receive whopping initials in Kerala.
In fact, Dhanush was part of Mammootty’ Kammath & Kammath early this year, which was a avarage at the box-office. Now whether Vijay will dance in a film with Mammootty remains a tricky question. As he is teamed up with Mammootty’s arch rival Mohanlal in the forthcoming Jilla, releasing for Pongal.
The buzz is that Aashiq Abu has spinned a yarn to make his Gangster saleable. It does not make any sense for Vijay to make a song appearance in a Malayalam film, when his straight Tamil films are doing good business in Kerala.
Meanwhile, there is also news that Fahadh Faasil, who was heard to be part of the Gangster team, has opted out of the project.
