Endhiran Telugu dubbing sold for record price

The mega budget Sun Pictures Shankar directed Endhiran featuring Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai has created history even before release!
The Telugu dubbing rights of the film titled Robo has been sold for a whopping unheard of price of Rs 30 Crore!

The rights sold at a new record price for any dubbing film in Indian film history has been snapped by the Hyderabad based Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Films.

Says Chadalawada Srinivasa Rao,the man who bagged the biggie : “I hold firm belief in the power of Shankar and his magic with the celluloid. At present, Rajni, Aishwarya and Shankar are considered the prime film personalities in the country and it is a Kalanithi Maran product. All the films of Shankar are blockbusters so far. The same belief prompted me to get the film for Telugu audience for this hefty price.”

The Telugu version distributor maintained that Robot will be releasing all over Andhra Pradesh in nearly 600 theatres.

“We are expecting our investment in the first one week. We are also careful with the piracy menace, which would be more after the first week run,” explained Srinivasa Rao
