Comedian Vadivelu was sent back by the hospital management without being allowed to call on superstar Rajinikanth at the SRMC hospital. The ace comedian, who had been staying at his Madurai residence fearing attack on his life by his political ‘enemies’, returned to Chennai only a few days back.
Vadivelu has gotten himself into many controversies in the recent past which hasn’t done any good to his career as an actor. First it was the public spat with fellow comedian Singamuthu and then his no-holds-barred election campaign in favour of the opposition DMK and its allies during when he took to task the DMDK chief Vijaykanth (with whom he has done several movies).
He now fears that volunteers of DMDK might harm his career and life in a ‘big way’. Unfortunately for him, he doesn’t have any movie on his hands which would have allowed him to concentrate on his work. His reported proximity to the DMK cost him a role in superstar Rajini’s upcoming period flick ‘Rana’. The comic portion in the film would now be handled by ‘Ganja’ Karuppu.
Vadivelu’s comments against ‘Rana’ irked Rajini’s fans and obviously, they developed hatred towards him. When Vadevelu was at SRMC to call on Rajini who has been recuperating at the hospital, he was denied permission by the management to meet the superstar as they though it would be ‘disturbing’ Rajini’s recuperating process.
Fortunately for Vadevelu, he came at a time when there were less fans of the star waiting outside the hospital!
