Vinayan has something special for kids this summer vacation and that’s Athisayan. Get into the mindset of kids to enjoy the movie.

Devan is a mischievous but brilliant young boy, an all-rounder who is a winner not only in studies but in other activities as well. He is an orphan being brought up by Maya (Kavya Madhavan) who is taking care of some destitute children at home. An investigative journalist by profession for New India Television, she herself is an orphan brought up by Father Chanthakkadan. Her boss Radha Ramanan (Mukesh) is quite interested in her, but she is hardly affected by his overtures. Her neighbour Sekharan (Jackie Shroff) is a scientist who is currently working on the theory of invisibility. Maya has a friend and lover Roy, who is also a journalist but currently in jail. He is also the only witness to a murder attempted by a group consisting of State Revenue Minister Divakaran, Minister Yunus Kunju, the Police Commissioner Shanmughan and the very influential Kuwait Nazar (Devan). With the help of the district collector Anita Williams (Karthika), Maya succeeds in getting a video using a spy cam, revealing the evil activities of the group. She shares the same with her boss to telecast the same. But before it is telecast, she is abducted by the same gang.

Meanwhile, in the absence of Sekharan, who has suddenly flown to the U.S., Devan consumes the green potion made by Sekharan and becomes invisible. He does this to save Maya. But does he succeed in saving Maya? Will he be able to come out of invisibility again? Watch the film with excellent special effects to find more.

Master Devadas is perfect as Devan. This is his second movie after Aanandhabhairavi. Kavya Madhavan as Maya does her role with perfection. Jackie Shroff makes a foray into Malayalam movies with Athisayan and has done his role well. The other cast includes Thilakan, Mukesh, Jayasuriya, Devan, Rajan P. Dev, Ramu, Bheeman Rehgu, Jagadeesh, and Harisri Ashokan

This is the second Vishu release for Alphonse, who has also scored the music for Big B starring Mammootty in the lead role. Rajarathnam handles the camera in accordance to the concept. The movie, with superb graphic effects, targets the children.
