Fans of Shahrukh Khan will have to wait a long time to see their favourite superstar do some mind-boggling action in his sci-fi thriller Ra.One.
The movie has SRK playing a video game designer G.One who turns into a superhero after a game character (Arjun Rampal) created by him acquires a life of his own and becomes a villain. The movie, fully named ‘Random Access version One’ will release in June next year.
From what we learn, the release date has been set as June 3, 2011, which is when the summers peak up and school kids enjoy their vacations.
However, Shahrukh has denied that the movie’s date has been fixed. But he did indicate that the movie might come in June next year.
“Nice to know that the release date for Ra.One has been fixed by someone… somewhere. Maybe they can now come and finish it as well,” Shahrukh wrote on his Twitter page.
“Will work backwards in terms of post-production and announce the release date in tandem with office guys. Should be around June,” he added.
The principal shoot of Ra.One has been done in London and Mumbai. The action scenes were particularly canned in London where a lot of cars were blown up.
Kareena Kapoor is SRK’s love interest in the film while Anubhav Sinha is the movie’s director.
