Tapsee’s stock has been on the rise ever since she did ‘Aadukalam’ in Kollywood and the movie went on to become a huge success. Apart from the national awards, the artistes’ performance too came in for praise.
Now, Taapsee has several movies on hand and is said to have even said ‘no’ to a foray into Kannada movies. Among the projects she is working in include ‘Maranthen Mannithen’, a bilingual, directed by Kumar Nagendra with Aadhi as the hero.
The film is based on a real-life incident that happened in 1980s on the banks of river Godavari, when an unexpected flood killed 75,000 people in the area. Does the lover-couple of Adhi and Taapsee escape the tragedy is the film, says the director, who adds ”it had some Titanic touch in it.’
