Sao Paulo: Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella described South American rivals Brazil`s 7-1 World Cup semi-final humiliation by Germany on Tuesday as “not normal”, but said it showed “why (football) is beautiful”.
“Seven-one is not a normal result between two world footballing powers,” Sabella told a press conference in Sao Paulo.
“Undoubtedly, it is not a normal result. Germany are a potent force. They are always in finals, semi-finals. They were superior and they won.
“Football can be like that. Sometimes things happen that you don`t expect, and that is why it is beautiful,” said Sabella.
Argentina play the Netherlands on Wednesday in Sao Paulo to decide who will face Germany in the final in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.
