BANGALORE: Fifteenth additional city civil court on Tuesday issued an interim stay to the production of the film titled ‘Sathyananda’, reportedly based on the life of the controversial godman Nithyananda, after Nithyananda filed a petition seeking damages for the same.
Besides a stay to the production of the film till April 23 magistrate Ashwathnarayana also issued notices to the producer of the movie, Madangopal, and the lead actor of the movie.
Nithyananda has sought Rs 3 crore as damages. Further hearing of the case has been posted to April 23.
